Genoese Walls Wooden Laminated Roof Construction

The Laminated Wooden Roof Construction work we carried out on the Genoese Walls, one of the important structures of historical Istanbul, aimed to contribute to the preservation of the historical structure while also providing a safe and durable solution by using modern construction techniques.

In this restoration work, a roof structure suitable for environmental conditions was built without damaging the original structure of the Genoese Walls, preserving the historical value and aesthetic features of the structures. The roof, which was built using laminated wooden material, was ensured to be long-lasting in terms of both durability and flexibility. In addition, the structural integrity of the roof was strengthened and made suitable for modern requirements with sustainable construction techniques.

Laminated wooden roofs offer a frequently preferred solution in historical structures with both their aesthetic and functional features. In this project, both structural safety and the protection of cultural heritage were prioritized, and a solid and long-lasting solution that will contribute to the historical walls was developed.

This work has provided an important step towards the preservation of the Genoese Walls, contributing to the historical texture of Istanbul and helping to preserve a heritage that will be passed on to future generations.
